Pam's visit to the island

Pam and I got to do so many fun things while she was here! Here are a few pictures I took along the way...

At the shrimp stand in North Shore where we got cherry shaved ice.
Next to the peace sign in front of the hippie store that Pam wandered into when I was waiting for the shaved ice!

Dole Plantation! We rode a train called the Pineapple Express that told us the history of pineapples and how they grow.

A pineapple plant. For some reason I thought pineapples grew on trees until I moved here. Obviously, I was wrong.

On a nature walk. And by that I mean on a paved path next to the nature, not in it.

This and the picture before are of the stream in my backyard. You can hear the water running over the rocks all through the house and you can see the water from my balcony.
While Pam was here, we also went to the ocean a few times, including the military beach. We had a few adventures around post which was Pam's favorite part. I even took her to the NEX which was a terrible idea! She wandered away and I had to spend a good thirty minutes searching for her. And where was she, you may ask? Trying on Hawaiian shirts. Oh, Pam! We had a ton of fun while she was here and I miss her already!

I'm Crafty.

What started out as a plan to make a quilt has turned into this:

The Army Pillow

It actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would considering it was sewn completely by hand. At least Chris will be able to tell it was made with lots of love! Hopefully, it stays together even after he starts using it!

And with all the extra material, maybe I can really start on that quilt.

This is why...

...I love my husband.

Obviously, work keeps him really busy. That's why he gets to send me such lovely messages when we're apart. He's such a goof and I can't even begin to describe how much I love him. I'm one lucky girl.
