Schofield Army Medical Clinic
Today I had my first doctor's appointment as Mrs. Liberato, Army Wife. I felt like it was the first day of school all over again, which I must say is not a feeling I enjoy very much. I actually wanted Chris to hold my hand and walk me through the door. His chief didn't think that was necessary though so I was forced to put on a brave face and go alone. Map in hand, I started on my journey. About five seconds into this journey I remembered that I don't really know how to read a map. Crap. Now I am on the verge of tears [I'm emotional this week, ok?] and I sit down on a bench to contemplate my next move. And the big plan I come up with: wander around the building I think I'm supposed to be in and hope I accidentally find it. So I pick up my things, flip my hair and strut through the door. My attempt at confidence must have failed because no sooner was I through the door than a man in uniform stops me with a look of concern and says, "Excuse me ma'am. Are you lost?" And then I was saved. The soldier pointed me in the right direction, which happened to be into another building completely, and I finally made it. After the whole ordeal was over and I was feeling pretty awesome [free medical care and free prescriptions will do that to a girl] I walked out into the crisp Hawaiian air and realized I had no idea where I parked the car. And here we go again...
